Students who receive other types of scholarships from Bangor University or other sources will not be entitled to the International Entrance Scholarship.

CHEVENING SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMME
The Chevening programme, has, over 26 years, provided more than 30,000 Scholarships at Higher Education Institutions in the UK for postgraduate students or researchers from countries across the world.
Largely funded by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, the Scholarship scheme also receives significant contributions from Universities and other organisations in the UK, and from a wide range of overseas sponsors including governmental and private sector bodies.

The Chevening Rolls-Royce Science and Innovation Leadership Programme is a tailor-made programme for mid-career Indian professionals working in the fields of science, innovation, and related public administration.
The foreign and Commonwealth Office and Rolls-Royce are offering these fully funded scholarships for the first time in India. This programme presents a remarkable fifteen week opportunity at the Said Business School, University of Oxford. It will enable 12 scholars to explore innovation and science policy, from an academic, practical and personal perspective. .
Each scholarship covers the following:

SALTIRE SCOTTISHSCHOLARSHIPS
Scotland's Saltire Scholarships (SSS) is a substantial programme of scholarships, offered bythe Scottish Government and Scottish Higher Education Institutions. The scheme offers up to 200 awards, each worth £2000, towards the tuition fees of a one year Masters course at any of Scotland's higher education Institutions.
The scholarships are designed to support the promotion of Scotland as a learning nation and a science nation and are therefore targeted at the priority sectors of creative industries, life sciences, technology, financial services and renewable and clean energy etc.
The scholarships are available to students as part of a wider strategy to promote Scotland as a study destination and showcase Scotland's higher education offering in international markets.
This is the third year of the programme which was launched in January 2009; nearly 400 scholarships have been awarded to date.
The closing date for 2011/12 awards is 17 June 2011. Successful candidates will be notified directly by their university by the end of July 2011.

ROYAL SOCIETY FELLOWSHIPS
The Royal Society offers incoming fellowships for researchers from North America and Asia. The aim is to attract outstanding postdoctoral scientists to undertake high-quality research at a UK laboratory.
The fellowships are available for up to two years for postdoctoral researchers in the USA and Canada and up to one year if you are from Asia. The Asian countries included are:China, India, Japan,Singapore and few other Asian countries.
The research undertaken must relate to a subject within the natural sciences. Awards are not granted in the areas of the social sciences or clinical medical research.
